Brand Development Manager:Youth Republic

Job Description

Turkey’s leading Youth Marketing Agency is seeking a Brand Development Manager who will be responsible for developing highly effective marketing communication plans through a deep understanding of the consumer and the brand’s target market, which in turn, achieves revenue target and maximizes the brand’s long-term potential.

Manages the brands she/he is responsible for to bring consistent thought leadership and support the client’s marketing needs. In addition, builds a motivated, collaborative and high-performing team capable of supporting a variety of marketing initiatives and programs to his/her client account. Account management activities contribute measurably to Youth Republic’s reputation, generate year-to-year increases in agency profits, assist in generating success in securing new business and develop client solutions and strategic insights that contribute to Youth Republic’s market presence.

• Establishes and maintains strong relationships with team and client management counterparts. Facilitates the sharing of the team’s client intelligence, creative work and other expertise within and across business units in an effort to help all units identify business-building opportunities and enhance their marketing programs.
• Sets the direction for the brands by leading creation of strategic and tactical marcom plans that outline how the team will achieve its project goals and financial objectives.
• Communicates the brand’s objectives and strategies to team members and the role they play in achieving them. Regularly updates team on changes to and progress against the plan.
• Managing annual budget, staffing needs and revenue forecasts to assure the growth and profitability of the brands together with the VP/ Client Services Director.
• Manage, develop and inspire agency team members to become their client’s best marketing partner by delivering strategic and creative excellence, introducing client to innovative solutions, delivering quality service, and delivering marketing programs that further client’s marketing and business objectives.
• Understands assigned client’s business as well as main competitors to properly analyze and understand status and direction of brand strategy. Ensures all team members have a complete understanding of the client’s business and the unique needs of the client.
• Identifies and actively pursues new business opportunities within existing client assignments as well as outside projects.
• Work closely with internal departments and group companies for development of creative, integration of digital youth, youth insight, PR to drive and deliver high quality, cost-effective integrated marketing solutions that are targeted, consistent and delivered on time.
• Serving as the day-to-day client liaison on the brands she/he is responsible for
• Briefing creative teams, providing direction and helping to positively influence the work
• Monitoring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, sharing best practices, and helping to drive Youth Republic clients’ business growth

***This position is based in Istanbul and reports to VP/Client Services Director.

Desired Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have at a minimum 5 years relevant experience working in the advertising, branding, marketing communications, interactive or direct marketing space. Agency experience is a must or in-house marketing management experience is necessary, preferably in FMCG services or GSM.

This position requires the ability to think outside of the box. They should also have good Project management, Problem solving, and Decision making skills; Ability to communicate in fluent English clearly both verbally and in writing; Good Presenting skills and negotiation skills. Brand development managers should also have the ability to network and work well under pressure and should have interest on Youth Marketing.
