Zamanın ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak üzere Winamp, 5.00 sürümünden itibaren sadece ses dosyalarını değil, birçok popüler görüntü dosyasına da destek veriyor. Bu şekilde sadece MP3 dünyasının değil, çoklu ortam dünyasının içinde çok saygın ve sağlam bir yere sahip oluyor.
