3/4 cup brown sugar 4 teaspoons butter 1/4 cup cream or milk (Half & Half is good) 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup coconut 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Cook for 3 or 4 minutes: brown sugar, butter, cream or milk and vanilla. Add coconut and nuts to mixture and beat. Spread on cake while HOT.This is the topping for the OATMEAL CAKE recipe in the cake section or for any German Chocolate cake.
