notion of the term “radical” as it has been used in the past to descr
ibe live \n \nactions by artists intentionally penetrating broadly held v
alues of the art economy and the institutions that maintain it. \n \nMode
rated by RoseLee Goldberg\, this panel will provide a platform for discuss
ion by artists\, curators\, and writers whose \n \nwork continues to prob
e and disrupt those values\, even at a time when a buoyant art market quic
kly absorbs such \n \nstrategies. Not For Sale is an ongoing public educa
tion series presented with New York University. \n \n \nFirst Performa B
ook Available In June 2007 \n \nPerforma: New Visual Art Performance will

rt. With its coverage of each artist’s work\, histories of \n \nthe pre
senting venues\, and overall characterization of the international perform
ance scene today\, Performa will be both an \ninvaluable reference to cont
emporary art and new media as well as a new kind of guide to cultural life
in New York City. \n \nAdvance copies of Performa can be ordered by emai
